London, October 17, 2016 - Will Hooker has been appointed counsel, litigation and international arbitration, at Boies, Schiller & Flexner in London.   He joins from Clifford Chance, where he was a senior associate.   Hooker is the third senior appointment at the firm this year, following the appointment of Matt Getz from Debevoise as partner in the investigations team, and Konrad Rodgers from Cleary Gottlieb as counsel.  Boies, Schiller & Flexner has also doubled its associate numbers in London over the summer, with five appointments. Elly Brindle joined from Freshfields, Peter Burgess from Allen & Overy, Nelson Goh from Three Crowns, Richard Robinson from Clifford Chance, and David Turner from New Zealand, where he was legal adviser to David Williams QC.
 
Since qualifying in 2009, Will Hooker has specialised in UK and international arbitration and commercial litigation and complex cross-border regulatory investigations.  He has particular experience in the oil, gas, mining and energy sectors and has acted in ad hoc arbitrations as well as under the rules of the ICC, LCIA, SIAC, LMAA, ICSID and UNCITRAL. High-profile work includes resolving a $3 billion arbitration claim, leading a $2 billion arbitration claim under a Unit Agreement and successfully striking out an electoral petition in the UK High Court.
