- ‘We’re angry white men’
That's how civil rights attorney Ron Kuby describes the remaining lineup at NY radio station WABC-AM after he got the axe. Kuby had been the station's lone liberal, which apparently is not a great lead-in to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Phil Boyce, who handles programming for parent company Citadel Broadcasting, says the decision to drop Kuby was about business, not ideology. Having a politically consistent lineup keeps listeners tuned in. Well, that's a bit disingenuous considering that equal opportunity basher Don Imus joins the WABC lineup in a few weeks. Kuby predicts "we-hate-Hillary-all-the-time’ radio,” but Boyce says there will be plenty of Bush bashing as well. (Crain's NY Business)
