- ‘Car Wash’ drilling
Actually, "Car Wash" dancing - and drilling. Lowering the Bar picks up a lawsuit out of Syracuse, N.Y. in which Brandy Fanning alleges that her dentist, Dr. George Trusty, injured her by dancing while he was drilling out one of her teeth (there's an AP story if you don't believe that the names are real). A radio was on in the Syracuse Community Health Center, according to the complaint, and the tune "Car Wash" was playing. That's when Trust began "performing rhythmical steps and movements." Trusty tried to use a metal hook to pull the broken bit out, but somehow pushed it up and into her sinus near her left eye socket. Yoooooow!!!! Fanning wound up in the hospital, where doctors removed the bit (presumably without any fancy footwork). Fanning is demanding $600,000 for medical expenses, pain and suffering.
