- Another reason to hate the Pats
An attorney for the Kraft Group has applied for the trademarks to "19-0" and "19-0 The Perfect Season," and possibly other winning words to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Apparently, Kraft's attorneys have sought numerous cease and desist orders in response to Web sites caught selling unlicensed Pats gear, including the site http://www.19-0.org. This sort of thing will pop up advance of a super-championship season - you might recall when then-Lakers coach Pat Riley trademarked the phrase "three-peat." At least the anti-Patriot contingent, which is basically the entire world outside New England, is getting some help from the NY Post, which filed paperwork for their own trademark: "18-1."
