Lawdragon’s 100 Lawyers You Need to Know in Securities Litigation

There’s no hotter field than securities litigation. The past decade has seen serious efforts to severely curtail shareholder lawsuits, including successes in Congress, the Supreme Court and the elimination of two of its leading practitioners. But as quick as you can say “subprime,” the party is once again in full swing. As Max Berger noted, as long as there is greed, there will be securities litigation.

Lawdragon emailed more than 50,000 attorneys, judges and corporate counsel seeking their nominations for the lawyers making waves in securities litigation. We received excellent nominations from across the country. Those we chose to feature here generally specialize in private shareholder class actions, winning the critical motions to dismiss and trying the rare cases. Among those not featured, but who also play a key role in an adjacent field are those regulatory and enforcement specialists, whose domain is the SEC. We’ve chosen a few of the champion trial lawyers who can handle any case, any time, any where. But again, those are mostly the domain of our Lawdragon 500, and not included here.

And now, onto the list
