Townsend Hyatt has worked with Indian tribes in more than a dozen states on financings for a wide variety of projects, including casino resorts, tribal schools, health clinics, childcare centers, tribal housing, manufacturing plants, tribal parks and recreation facilities, sewer and water systems and other basic infrastructure. Some of his specific clients include Yavapai-Apache Nation, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians, Reno-Sparks Indian Colony and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. In one recent deal, Hyatt acted as bond counsel on publicly offered $100 million tax-exempt bond issue by Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
