rates/fees: While customary top-tier large firm rates apply, the breadth of understanding, comprehensiveness of service and intensity of effort is anything but customary -- even among the top tier.
comments: Mr. Nolan has a particular focus on international arbitration and he is an exceptional choice for such matters under AAA, ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, LCIA or other rules. His experience includes a diverse range of arbitration matters involving electricity, gas, transportation and mining concessions; joint-venture agreements; satellite and other insurance coverage; construction; and energy distribution. Mr. Nolan has represented both investors and states in arbitrations pursuant to bilateral investment treaties and the Energy Charter Treaty and is a member of the Panel of ICSID Arbitrators. Mr. Nolan has taught at the Georgetown University Law Center both the introductory course on international arbitration and seminars on investor-state arbitration and ICSID practice.
