Mr. Dolan founded The Dolan Law firm in 1995 and has managed its growth from a sole proprietorship to a group of
eight attorneys and 16 staff members now located in The Dolan Building in downtown San Francisco. He is widely
recognized as a skilled, aggressive, effective advocate for the rights of injured people and people those who have
been treated unlawfully in the workplace. Mr. Dolan serves as a Board Member of the Consumer Attorneys of
California, The San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, and the San Francisco Motorcycle and Scooter Coalition. He
is a member of The Million Dollar Advocates Forum a nationwide group of trial lawyers whose advocacy has resulted in
settlements and/or verdicts in one or more cases with an individual value in excess of $1,000,000.00.
He is a frequent lecturer on legal issues such as governmental liability, dangerous conditions of public property,
jury selection, the use of experts, employment law, and municipal transit system litigation. He is often recruited by
other attorneys to handle difficult and challenging cases.
Mr. Dolan has tried lawsuits against some of the largest governmental entities such as the State of California, The
City and County of San Francisco; the largest Insurance companies such as Allstate, Farmers Insurance, AAA, State
Farm, and Mercury; as well as Fortune 500 Companies such as United Airlines therein obtaining significant results for
his clients.
Mr. Dolan has authored numerous scholarly legal articles that have been published in FORUM magazine and TRIAL
Magazine. He has had his writings included in academic texts used by legal practitioners in the field. He has
participated in drafting laws to protect consumers' rights to a fair trial and regularly appears as a witness before
the California State Legislature.
Mr. Dolan is an avid motorcyclist having ridden over 250,000 miles throughout five countries. He is a photographer as
well as an author.
