Ted Garrett is "one of the first people companies and trade associations look to" when they have a big environmental issue, according to one competitor. Some of Garrett's big name clients have included General Motors and Procter & Gamble. The litigator, whose practice often centers on appellate work, has advocated "many key EPA issues from the industry side," producing rulings with "enormous significance." Garrett, who has represented parties in more than 50 reported cases, got an early start as an appeals court advocate with a clerkship to U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger. But Garrett's talents are by no means confined to the appeals court. As another competitor puts it, he's "just a damn good all around lawyer."
