Mitch Evall is the managing partner of the firm, and a partner in the firm's corporate and real estate department. His
practice focuses on real estate, and he has extensive experience in acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing,
development and asset management transactions.
Mr. Evall's clients include a number of the major motion picture studios, theatre chains, investment banks, real property
developers and retailers. Mr. Evall has been involved in a number of high profile corporate relocations, as well as the
start-up and winding down of numerous national businesses. Additionally, Mr. Evall has consulted on sizable projects in New
York and throughout the southwestern and western United States. Significant recent transactions include the following:
- Representation of the tenant in a 450,000 square foot office lease.
- Representation of the seller in connection with its sale of a major motion picture theatre chain.
- Representation of a national retailer in connection with the start-up of its company, as well as in connection with its
leasing of over 150 retail sites.
- Representation of an investment bank in connection with its making of mezzanine and participating financing for high-end
mixed use projects throughout the Southwestern United States.
- Representation of the owner of a national chain of stores in connection with the exit negotiations of all of its
leaseholds throughout the country.
- Representation of the tenant in connection with the relocation of its headquarters.
- Representation of the buyer in connection with its purchase of a major motion picture theatre chain.
Mr. Evall is also the General Counsel, and a twenty-year member of the Board of Directors, of United Friends of the Children
("UFC"), a charitable organization devoted to improving the lives of foster children in Los Angeles County, both while they
are in the foster care system and as they "age out" of that system, and Mr. Evall is particularly proud of the support that
the firm has provided to UFC over the years.
Mr. Evall received his B.A. from Brandeis University, magna cum laude with honors, in 1977, and received his J.D. from
Columbia University in 1980.
