Known throughout the country for his trial success and fringed leather jacket, Spence claims to have not lost a jury trial since 1969 and to have never lost a criminal trial. He steadfastly represents the Average Joe against big corporations and has come out a million-dollar winner many times over. On the criminal defense side, he represented former Philippine First Lady Imelda Marcos and won her acquittal on federal racketeering charges, and in 1993 successfully defended Randy Weaver in the Idaho federal standoff case. And he's not shy about his accomplishments: He started the Trial Lawyers College to teach others how to try and win cases and has written 15 books.

comments: I am a graduate of Gerry Spence's 3 week Trial Lawyers College. Gerry Spence was there and participating in the training process personally throughout the program. I have also seen him "in action." . I am former Justice Dept civil trial lawyer, and former First Asst (and Acting) US Atty. I have tried over 140 jury trials, civil and criminal. Gerry Spence is unquestionably the best trial lawyer I have ever met. | | | service | 10 | | expertise | 10 | | quality | 10 | | overall | 10 | | recommend? | yes | |
