When prominent companies need a hand with their legal battles, New York lawyer Evan Chesler is there to help. Chesler leads his firm's litigation practice and represents major firms such as IBM, DuPont, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Alcoa. He recently counseled Time Warner and its subsidiary Netscape in an antitrust suit alleging that Microsoft tried to put Netscape out of business. Microsoft paid $750 million to settle the case in 2003. Chesler also is defending Xerox in a class action in which shareholders accuse the company of securities fraud, and he is defending Qualcomm in an antitrust suit filed by Broadcom.
