Plaintiffs' attorney Robert Clifford is well known for his work in aviation litigation. He won a $28 million verdict for a woman who was injured during the crash of a United Airlines plane in Sioux City, Iowa, in 1989, and he also secured a $15 million settlement for a man whose wife and daughter died in the crash. Clifford also obtained $110 million on behalf of families whose loved ones died in the 1994 crash of an American Eagle plane in Roselawn, Ind. He also has tackled other types of cases. Clifford won a $30 million verdict for violinist Rachel Barton, who was injured in a 1995 train accident.
