Kenneth M. Doran is the Managing Partner of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and serves as the Chairman of the Firm's Executive
Committee, leading one of the country's most successful law firms. Mr. Doran leads the firm's strategic expansion, steadily adding to strategic practice areas and expanding its New York
office and its international platform, culminating in the recent opening of offices in Dubai and Singapore. Under Mr. Doran's leadership, the firm has placed
unprecedented focus on increasing the firm's pro bono work. Gibson Dunn has donated more than 72,000 attorney hours to pro
bono work in 2007, and over the last three years, the firm has increased its annual number of pro bono hours by 200 percent.
Mr. Doran has extensive experience in a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, "going
private" transactions, cross-border transactions, debt and equity securities offerings, strategic and VC-type investments,
corporate reorganizations and other restructurings.
Mr. Doran has extensive experience in representing public and private companies in a wide array of industries, investment
bankers and private equity groups, as well as individual investors and owners of closely held businesses.
Mr. Doran graduated
with distinction with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Stanford University. He
received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Southern California, where he served as Executive Articles Editor
of the
Southern California Law Review and was a member of the
Order of the Coif.
