These cases are preliminarily settled, and are on appeal before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Cobb has represented Medtronic for the past 18 years.

After a 3 week trial, a federal judge in Los Angeles ordered Henry Yuen, the ex-CEO of Gemstar-TV Guide International, to pay $22.4 million for misleading investors by inflating the company's revenues. In 2003, NewsCorp, after obtaining control of Gemstar, ousted Yuen as well as the company's CFO and its general counsel. The firm advised Gemstar with respect to the removal of Yuen and his management team and then worked closely with the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) trial team during the course of the Yuen litigation.
