There are many, many cases that I have worked on that I think are worthy of merit, but I'll limit myself to two recent cases (both within the last year or so) which readily come to mind: (1) Ginsburg v. Philadelphia Stock Exchange, Inc. (Del. 2008) -- DE Supreme Court recently affirmed the Court of Chancery's approval of a class action settlement. The Court held two oral arguments in the appeal in less than one month. (2) Louisiana Municipal Police Employees’ Retirement System v. Crawford, 2007 Del. LEXIS 27 (Del. Ch. Feb. 23, 2007) (denying in part, broad preliminary injunction sought by class plaintiffs and Express Scripts against Caremark-CVS merger), appeal refused, Express Scripts, Inc. v. Crawford, 2007 Del. LEXIS 101 (Del. Mar. 8, 2007)). Other notable cases are mentioned on my firm's website.

Best moment of career:
This is a very difficult question to answer. There have been so many great cases that I have worked on, so it's hard to find just one "best moment" among them. So, I will not try to do so -- instead, I'll answer by saying that the best moment of my career was the day I was sworn in as a member of the Delaware Bar in December 1989. The best part of this career though is by far getting to work with, and becoming friends with, some of the best lawyers and business people in America (and in the world).

Worst moment of career:
I really cannot think of one...

Attorney you most admire:
It's very difficult to narrow this to one, but if I am so limited, I would say Gil Sparks. He is my partner and has been my mentor since I began practicing law at Morris Nichols in 1990, and he is one of the smartest and most talented lawyers I have ever met (not to mention the fact that he is a great person to boot). I also greatly admire several Delaware judges who have served as mentors to me in my career -- The Honorable Maurice A. Hartnett, III (who I clerked for in 1989-90), The Honorable William B. Chandler III (currently the Chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery), and The Honorable Randy Holland (currently a justice on the Delaware Supreme Court).

Favorite activities (besides the Law):
Triathlons -- swimming, biking and running. I've been an avid runner since high school, and took up biking and swimming after college. I've been doing triathlons off and on since 1985; less racing in more recent years as my wife (Melissa) and I now have 3 young children (7 year old twin boys - Aaron and Jacob, and a 5 year old daughter, Ava). I also love just hanging out with Melissa and the kids at our house -- my wife is a master gardener and we have a terrific home and garden to enjoy!

Favorite Sports Team (if you have one), or Favorite Theater or Museum, etc:
Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles.
