Caremark Merger Litigation (2007). As a result of this action, CVS increased its offer to Caremark shareholders by $6 per share (over $2.5 billion total).

OM Group, Inc. Securities Litigation (2005). Settlements totaling more than $92 million.

Independent Energy Holdings Securities Litigation (2003). Settlements totaling $48 million.

Sykes Enterprises, Inc. Securities Litigation (2002). Recoveries of $30 million.

Ceridian Shareholder Litigation (2007). The Ceridian Board worked up a proposed merger agreement which would make it very difficult for shareholders to seek more favorable alternatives. This action opened the door for better offers by amending the original agreement, thereby maximizing shareholder value.
