Consulting services you provide:
Public relations and marketing, nationally and regionally with senior consultants in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.

How did you come to hold your present position (specifically, what led you to become a legal recruiter, marketing consultant, etc.)?
My first position was at a San Francisco agency where I focused on representing professional service firms. I realized that this career was my calling -- it was what I was meant to do, and I quickly moved up the ranks from an account executive to vice president heading the business-to-business division. I was at this agency for five years prior to establishing Blattel Communications 18 years ago.

What is the best thing about working with lawyers?
They are very appreciative of our efforts, particularly when they experience the link between public relations results and new business development.

What is the worst thing about working with lawyers?
They are very busy and don't respond to our -- often deadline-oriented -- requests. Because of this, we bear as much of the responsibility as possible by providing high levels of support to minimize the attorneys' time.

What has been the most satisfying moment of your career thus far?
Being recognized as the top marketing and public relations agency for law firms based on attorney votes.

What are your favorite activities outside the law?
I love to garden, hike, take long walks and play with my cats. Most importantly, spend time with my husband.
