| I began serving as public relations counsel for law firms more than 20 years ago when firms came to realize that client loyality was more fleeting, and the profession was morphing into a business. Public relations was a key tool to raise a firm's profile and distinguish it from the competition. |

| For the most part they are smart, do interesting important work and play a role in almost every aspect of our daily lives. |
