| How did you come to hold your present position (specifically, what led you to become a legal recruiter, marketing consultant, etc.)? |
| Two pivotal events: When I graduated from college, I was asked, "What can you do?" As a philosophy major, I answered, "I can think." "Ahh," I was told, "but can you type?" That led me to graduate school where I majored in information analysis and classification.
The second event was when I was working for Informatics (one of the first providers of integrated business solutions for lawyers). I was responsible for post-sales implementations of LTMS accounting and Wang word processing. One October, our sales team sold and Wang installed Wang laser printers at a prominent law firm before the printers were supported by the Wang operating system. I decided then to become a consultant so I could prevent such implementation disasters. |
