Consulting services you provide:
Juris Productions offers video production for trial attorneys, but we consider ourselves as expert storytellers. We tell the stories of people who have been injured or killed and help our clients illustrate damages and sometimes liability. We produce settlement documentaries, day-in-the-life videos and trial exhibits. We help our clients convey the story behind their case to insurance adjustors or juries. We work closely with the attorneys to help them develop their trial story, then help find the people, images and documents that convey that message.

How did you come to hold your present position (specifically, what led you to become a legal recruiter, marketing consultant, etc.)?
My background and education is in broadcast journalism. I worked producing TV news for several stations in Boston and L.A. My partner Keiko and I worked at NBC-TV in Burbank for seven years together before launching Juris Productions.

What is the best thing about working with lawyers?
The best thing about working with lawyers is seeing the dedication that goes into each case. Our clients invest in their cases not only financially but emotionally. They genuinely care about getting the best for their clients. That dedication inspires us to do the best we can to help them.

What is the worst thing about working with lawyers?
Plaintiff's attorneys have a reputation for preparing cases at the last minute. There are definitely exceptions, but we've found that the stereotype fits pretty well. Our clients tend to call us with little time to spare before they need their documentary in hand. What we do is very labor intensive, so fitting it to tight deadlines can be a challenge.

What has been the most satisfying moment of your career thus far?
Whenever we hear that our productions helped play a part in getting justice for a client, that's extremely satisfying. We love hearing our clients' war stories from mediation or trial and about how the other side reacted to our production. Our pieces have the opportunity to make a huge impact. It's important to us that our clients are happy. But even more important to us is when their clients get what they need.

What are your favorite activities outside the law?
I have three boys who keep me plenty busy. When I do get some free time, you'll probably find me at the poker table, playing ice hockey, scuba diving or listening to classical music and opera.
