Best moment of career:
Helping bright, young lawyers at Katten to grow into successful partners at the firm.

Worst moment of career:
I haven't experienced it yet.

Attorney you most admire:
My partner, Nina Matis, national co-chair of our Real Estate Practice. Nina is certainly one of the most talented, business-savvy lawyers in the country.

Favorite activities (besides the Law):
Spending time with my family and playing tennis.

Favorite Sports Team (if you have one), or Favorite Theater or Museum, etc:
Goodman Theatre in Chicago, it is precisely what good theatre should be.

What is your proudest accomplishment on behalf of your firm:
Katten's commitment to diversity and the enrichment of our firm through the growth and development of our women and minority lawyers.

If there is one thing you could do over as managing partner/chairperson, what is it?
It is difficult to narrow it down to just one thing. If you spend significant time in management, there is always more than one thing you might want to do over. But the important thing is to try to learn something from each decision that you make.

Is there anything - an individual, a double espresso, a good 4:30 a.m. workout - you consider essential to your success?
Michael Zavis, one of our founding partners, who is a great lawyer and was a great mentor to me.
