Luc Despins is Chairman of the Financial Restructuring Group, and is resident in the firm's New York office. Mr. Despins has extensive experience in representing debtors and creditors in significant international bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings. His experience also includes representation of acquirers of assets from chapter 11 debtors. Mr. Despins' recent engagements include the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Refco, Inc.; the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Enron Corp.; the agent for secured lenders in Adelphia Communications; Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products N.V., L&H Holdings USA, Inc. and Dictaphone Corporation (counsel to chapter 11 debtors); Fruit of the Loom, Inc. (counsel to chapter 11 debtor); the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Safety-Kleen Corporation; the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of ICO Global Communications Services, Inc.; the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Semi-Tech Corporation, et al.; the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of ATC Group Services, Inc.; the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Dyersburg Corporation; and many others.
