Trial experience in State and Federal Courts in complex insurance coverage litigation. This includes matters involving Y2K claims, environmental claims, business interruption, arson, fraud, and bad faith.
Supervises the Investigation Department of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P.

Mudlin v. Hills Co.: 2007 SD 118 (S.D. 2007) The South Dakota Supreme Court upheld an insurer's right to challenge fairly debatable insurance claims without being liable for the tort of ‘bad faith'.
Multi-million dollar recovery for businesses and their insurers involved in the Great Chicago Flood in Chicago, Illinois.
Represented Continental Airlines in connection with the Stapleton International Airport fuel farm fire in Denver, Colorado.
Represented insurers involved in the Ford River Rouge Powerhouse explosion in Dearborn, Michigan.
Represented Illinois Bell Telephone Company in connection with the fire and ensuing telephone outage in the western suburbs of Chicago.
Involved in major catastrophic recovery actions for insurers and their insureds.
Manages the product liability defense program for a major manufacturer.
Has managed the defense of toxic tort claims for a major manufacturer.
