New York, March 5, 2012- Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP announced today the election of Mark A. Baghdassarian and Joshua Brody as partners in the firm’s New York office and Dana M. Anagnostou and Julien Martinet as partners in the firm’s Paris office.  The newly elected partners represent multiple key practice areas for the firm including Corporate, Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy, Intellectual Property and Litigation.

The firm’s newly elected partners include:

Mark A. Baghdassarian (Intellectual Property, New York).  Mr. Baghdassarian’s practice focuses on patent and trademark actions, as well as general commercial disputes in various courts and tribunals.  His experience includes complex patent and trademark infringement actions involving various technologies, such as satellite radio delivery devices and services, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, digital imaging, and devices used in the semiconductor industry.  Prior to joining Kramer Levin, Mr. Baghdassarian served as a law clerk to the Honorable Roger J. Miner, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.  He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the College of William & Mary and his J.D., magna cum laude, from New York Law School.

Joshua Brody (Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy, New York).  Mr. Brody’s practice focuses primarily on general corporate restructuring and bankruptcy matters.  He represents debtors, creditors committees, bondholders, distressed investors, indenture trustees, bank groups, lenders, and other parties in all aspects of bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings, acquisitions and other distressed situations.  Mr. Brody earned his B.A. from Hebrew Theological College and his J.D., with distinction, from Hofstra University School of Law, where he was the recipient of several awards including the prestigious Benjamin Weintraub and Alan Resnick Bankruptcy Law Award.

Dana M. Anagnostou (Corporate, Paris).  Ms. Anagnostou has a diverse international corporate practice, advising a broad range of clients in Europe and the United States on mergers and acquisitions, cross-border and structured finance, financial services, derivatives and technology-related transactions.  She is admitted to practice in both New York and Paris.  Ms. Anagnostou earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and her J.D., from Albany Law School.

Julien Martinet  (Litigation, Paris).  Mr. Martinet’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. He has extensive trial experience in France, particularly as defense counsel to banks in lender liability and other contexts. Mr. Martinet also has broad experience defending industrial clients against product liability claims both in court-ordered expertise proceedings and at trial. Mr. Martinet holds a D.E.A. in private law from the University of Lyon III and a Masters of Studies in Legal Research from the University of Oxford.
