NEW YORK, May 14, 2014 — Littleton Joyce Ughetta Park & Kelly LLP announces that Dennis J. Dozis has joined its New York office as a partner. Dozis, who previously practiced at Kaufman, Borgeest & Ryan LLP, will bolster the firm’s appellate and construction practices.

“Littleton Joyce is a truly entrepreneurial firm, and that appealed to me because I share the same spirit,” Dozis says. “As a litigator I look forward to contributing to the growth of the appellate and construction practices and helping Littleton further expand its client base.”

A 2004 graduate of Brooklyn Law School, Dozis’ appellate record includes extensive experience in prosecuting and defending civil appeals in federal and state courts. His construction practice will focus on litigation ranging from construction products and negligent construction, to delay damages claims and cases involving state labor laws.

“Dennis maintains a sterling reputation as a federal and state court practitioner. Our clients will benefit greatly from his exceptional writing and speaking skills,” says Managing Partner Robert J. Kelly. “He also brings extensive experience in all aspects of construction law, counseling private developers, owners and contractors, as well as insurers facing construction-related claims.”

Prior to joining Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan, Dozis served as an appellate court attorney with the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, from 2004 to 2006, analyzing New York statutory and case law and  developing slip opinions for issuance by the appellate courts.
