Formerly with the Beijing office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Jin brings extensive experience with Hong Kong capital markets, as well as M&A transactions in the Greater China region. He will be based in the firm’s Beijing office.

Jin’s practice focuses on securities and corporate transactions in the Greater China region, including Hong Kong IPOs, pre-IPO private equity investments, investments in HKEx-listed public companies, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers, compliance, and corporate governance of HKEx-listed companies. He has advised clients in a wide array of industries, including real estate, commercial aviation, energy and natural resources, retail, and shipping. Jin has led the execution of more than a dozen Hong Kong IPOs, representing both issuers and underwriters. He has advised some of the leading global investment banks in the Greater China market, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, UBS, JP Morgan, and CICC. A native Mandarin speaker, Jin earned his LL.B and LL.M from Peking University Law School in 1998 and 2001, respectively, and his LL.M in corporate governance and practice from Stanford Law School in 2005. He is admitted to practice in Hong Kong and New York.
