Seattle, WA (July 21, 2016) – JND Legal Administration, a management and administration company delivering service lines in class action, mass tort, corporate restructuring, government services and eDiscovery, today announced the appointment of Michael Sherin as senior advisor. A founding member and former chairman of Garden City Group (GCG), Sherin has worked extensively with the three founders of JND Legal Administration. A titan in the field, his influence has been felt throughout the industry.

“Mike has literally seen and done all that this industry has to offer, blazing a bold trail for the rest of us,” said Neil Zola, co-founder and managing director at JND Legal Administration. “When you have a chance to tap into Mike’s decades of skill and experience, you just can’t pass it up.”

During his 15 years as GCG chairman, Sherin was responsible for attracting and retaining the senior management team. His efforts spearheaded the company’s growth, expanding its employee base exponentially and diversifying its business lines.

As a long-time colleague of JND Legal Administration founders Jennifer Keough, Neil Zola and David Isaac, Sherin maintains a unique rapport with the team and will bring his decades of experience in legal and financial services to the company. In his senior advisory role, he will assist in driving business growth and serve as a sounding board for JND Legal Administration leadership.

“Working alongside Mike over many years, his guidance was evident everywhere – both for the company as a whole, while it was advancing in the marketplace, as well as for the numerous colleagues who learned so much under his direction,” said Zola. “I know his insight and generosity will be incredibly valuable to JND as we look to continue growing and tackling increasingly complex cases.”

Sherin also spent 14 years at KPMG Peat Marwick where he was managing director of the Settlement Administration Services practice unit for six years. He currently serves as treasurer of the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County, where he has been a trustee for nearly 20 years. He is also treasurer of Crime Stoppers in Nassau County, Inc., serving in that role since it was founded more than 20 years ago.

“Jennifer, Neil and David are some of the sharpest minds in the industry and, since forming JND, they’ve hit the ground running,” said Sherin. “I have remained in close contact with them over the years and know they’re completely up to the task of tackling the most challenging cases the industry has to offer as they continue to grow the company – and I’m eager to help them achieve success.”
