Every once in awhile there is a gathering of lawyers so extraordinary you need to sit up and take notice. That's the scenario set for March 1 in New York in a PLI half-day session on Secrets of the Rainmakers. It will bring together five of the nation's most acclaimed rainmaking lawyers to teach how you can make it rain; four of the nation's most noted legal journalists; and a panel of the most respected law firm marketing directors worldwide.

Bring your umbrellas! The session starts at 9 a.m. and adjourns at 12:40. The lawyers who will tell all are: Brad Karp of Paul Weiss; Adam Emmerich of Wachtell Lipton; Jeffrey Klein of Weil; Candace Beinecke of Hughes Hubbard (left, photo by Laura Barisonzi); and Ralph Ferrara of Proskauer. That's more than $100M in annual rainmaking at one table at 11:30 a.m.

They will be preceded by CMO's at 9 a.m. including Despina Kartson of Jones Day; M. Ashraf Lakhani of Porter Hedges; David McClune of Shearman & Sterling; and Allen Stock of Allen Matkins.

For those of you who want to stay on top of who's up and who's down in the minds of legal media join us at 10:15 to hear David Lat of Above the Law; Ashby Jones of The Wall Street Journal; Gina Passarella of The American Lawyer; and Lawdragon's Katrina Dewey.

The Rainmaking extravaganza was organized by Deborah Brightman Farone now of Farone Advisors and longtime CMO of Cravath and Katherine D'Urso of WilmerHale.
