Becker, a partner in the Firm’s Finance, Restructuring, and Bankruptcy group, has been appointed as the vice chairperson of the board of directors for PathWays PA, a nonprofit organization aimed at helping low income women and families end the cycle of poverty, homelessness, and abuse by helping them to move along the path to self-sufficiency.Mr. Becker is a current board member of Pathways PA and in 2015 received its Partner in Excellence Award in recognition of the extraordinary pro bono work that Mr. Becker provided to help further the interests of and strengthen the causes for women, children, and families in the Philadelphia region. His dedication and commitment to PathWays PA has helped the organization navigate changes in the economy and in the funding opportunities available in recent years.“I’ve always been impressed by the level of service PathWays PA provides to its clients and by PathWays PA’s energetic board,” said Mr. Becker. “I’m excited to take on the role of vice chairperson and continue my commitment to helping people attain self-sufficiency, and ending the cycle of poverty, homelessness, and abuse in our community.”At Blank Rome, Mr. Becker concentrates his practice on business matters, including acquisitions and finance. He has spent time, depending on the economy, on bankruptcy and out of court restructuring, acquisition and sales of troubled companies, finance, and advising companies on general business issues. Many of his clients are companies that he has helped successfully restructure. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Mr. Becker earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and his B.S. from Pennsylvania State University.
