The pair’s arrival follows that of a bankruptcy group in 2011 and a corporate/private equity group in 2010, and augments the firm’s strong Business Litigation Practice.

Mr. Mitchell, a commercial litigator for more than 30 years, represents securities firms, accounting firms, fund managers, financial consultants, real estate developers and brokers, publishers, manufacturers, luxury retailers, and family-owned businesses. He also has extensive experience in the jewelry and financial services industries, and has mediated and/or arbitrated many disputes before the New York Stock Exchange and the National Association of Securities Dealers (now FINRA) on behalf of  major broker-dealer/investment banks, as well as before the American Arbitration Association and JAMS. Mr. Mitchell joins Dickstein Shapiro from the New York office of Gibbons P.C., a top regional firm headquartered in New York, where he served as a partner. He received his J.D., cum laude, from University of Miami School of Law and his A.B., cum laude, from Temple University.

Mr. Abraham’s practice focuses on business and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in handling diverse and complex disputes and represents brokers, fund managers, insurance brokers and agents, real estate brokers and agents, hi-tech companies, construction contractors, retailers, manufacturers, and various managers, corporate officers, and professionals in complex commercial cases. He also join Dickstein Shapiro from Gibbons P.C., where he worked alongside Mr. Mitchell on many significant cases. Mr. Abraham received his J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School.
