Sokolove Law, LLC is a national personal injury law firm that has operated for nearly 40 years, and is headquartered in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
In 1979, James “Jim” Sokolove was a new attorney deeply concerned by the injustice in the legal system. All too often, he saw that those who most needed legal help had the most trouble finding it. Jim Sokolove, Founder and Chairman
The son of an attorney, Jim Sokolove graduated from Suffolk University Law School in 1969. When his father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1971, Jim took his place at the family law firm. Later, in 1979, Jim started his own law firm — the firm that is now Sokolove Law.
Jim saw that, all too often, those who needed legal help the most had the most trouble finding it. When he started Sokolove Law, he became dedicated to a single mission: Making sure everyone has the same opportunity for justice, regardless of race or income.
By leveraging the power of television, he began airing commercials on Boston stations in early 1982. Attorney advertising was brand new and Sokolove ensured all of his commercials were fully compliant. These commercials made Jim Sokolove a local household name and helped the law firm grow quickly.
While Jim retired in 2013, his many innovative contributions built Sokolove Law into the successful firm it is today; the first truly national law firm with an office and a licensed attorney in almost every state.
