PITTSBURGH, June 20, 2013 -- David Grecco, who previously served as General Counsel of Linn Energy, LLC and Vice President – Legal of Phillips Resources, Inc., has joined the Pittsburgh Office of global law firm Jones Day as of counsel in the Energy Practice.

"We’re delighted that David has chosen to join us and share his wealth of business and transactional experience in the oil and gas industry, covering both in-house and outside lawyer perspectives," said Laura Ellsworth, Partner-in-Charge of the Pittsburgh Office. "Adding to our strong existing capabilities here and in Jones Day's Texas and other offices, David’s arrival will be particularly noteworthy to our clients and other participants in the conventional and unconventional oil and gas, oilfield services and infrastructure industries, including those focusing on the Marcellus and Utica shale plays."

Mr. Grecco began his career as a CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers and spent eight years as a corporate, securities, and transactional lawyer at K&L Gates LLP. David’s role as an energy executive with Phillips Resources concluded in the $1.7 billion acquisition of the company, and its sister company TWP INC., by ExxonMobil in 2011. Immediately prior to joining Jones Day, he was of counsel with Steptoe & Johnson PLLC.

"David is a tremendous resource for both our domestically focused and international clients looking for inbound opportunities, and perfectly complements our existing energy focused talent in this dynamic region," said Jeff Schlegel, head of Jones Day's Energy Practice.

Mr. Grecco earned his B.S.B.A. from Robert Morris University and his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law. He was a member of the Duquesne Law Review.
