Prior to joining Cadwalader in 2023, Castellano served for eight years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in SDNY. During her time as a federal prosecutor, Castellano led six criminal trials and briefed and argued multiple appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. As a senior member of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force, she led investigations and prosecutions of high-profile matters involving insider trading, accounting fraud, investment adviser fraud, cryptocurrency-related fraud, and money laundering. Castellano also managed relationships with stakeholders at the SEC and CFTC, as well as federal law enforcement agencies.
