Jonathan P. Hayes is the Managing Partner of Goldstein Hayes Trial Lawyers, an Atlanta-based trial firm representing individuals and families in catastrophic injury, wrongful death, commercial trucking, medical malpractice, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, product liability, construction and industrial accidents, and other complex civil litigation throughout Georgia and nationwide.
Over the course of his career, Hayes has helped lead Goldstein Hayes Trial Lawyers to nearly $1 billion in verdicts and settlements, including a record-setting $150 million wrongful death verdict, more than $400 million recovered in commercial motor vehicle litigation, and numerous seven- and eight-figure recoveries in catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, and product liability cases. His practice regularly involves litigation against commercial motor carriers, healthcare systems, manufacturers, corporations, and insurers in cases requiring extensive factual investigation, sophisticated expert testimony, and substantial economic damages.
Hayes believes the most significant cases demand more than legal knowledge—they require preparation, resources, and the willingness to try cases before a jury. Goldstein Hayes intentionally maintains a limited caseload, allowing its attorneys to devote substantial financial resources, nationally recognized experts, and direct attorney involvement to every matter. An Atlanta native, Hayes graduated from Woodward Academy, earned his Bachelor of Science from the College of Charleston, and received his Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law, where he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Rowland W. Barnes of the Fulton County Superior Court. He has also successfully handled significant appellate matters, including Bouvé & Mohr, LLC v. Banks, a frequently cited Georgia decision addressing spoliation of evidence.
