Matthews, one of the preeminent entertainment litigation attorneys in the United States and recognized by the LA Times as a legal visionary and entertainment business visionary, is a business trial lawyer and litigator with broad experience in the entertainment industry and business sector, specifically focusing his practice on entertainment and media litigation, business litigation, crisis litigation, and plaintiff sexual assault, harassment and employment litigation matters. Notably, he served as lead counsel, representing the primary witness from the Wall Street Journal bombshell expose, "Dozens of People Recount Pattern of Sexual Misconduct by Las Vegas Mogul Steve Wynn," encompassing five years of litigation that lead to cases filed in the United States Supreme Court twice along with the filing of a civil RICO case alleging bribery and corruption. Investigations were triggered, leading to a record $55 million in fines against Wynn Resorts, and a $10 million fine against Steve Wynn, banning him from the Las Vegas gaming industry. The Nevada Gaming Control Board also changed its rules governing gaming licensees.

Matthews also represents the business partners of Priscilla Presley in a $50-million fraud lawsuit and manages litigation for Lawrence Welk Jr., and his estate against The Welk Group.

Matthews currently serves as lead counsel on multiple matters throughout the country, practices in the United States Supreme Court, has argued before the Ninth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals and is involved in litigation covered by the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, CNN, CNBC, and the New York Times, among other publications.

Leveraging expertise in civil RICO and bribery allegations, he has secured over $10 million in settlements and judgments since 2023.
