Chris Livas is an Associate at Keller Postman LLC and Co-Chair of the Personal Injury Practice at Postman Law. He combines deep legal expertise with genuine care and empathy, drawing on his background in interpersonal communication to connect with clients at every stage of litigation — from intake through jury verdict — with compassion and understanding tailored to each client's unique needs.
At Keller Postman and Postman Law, Livas co-chairs the Illinois personal injury practice, focusing on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex product liability cases. He works directly with clients at every phase of litigation and also handles mass tort matters, currently representing plaintiffs nationwide against manufacturers, distributors, and retailers of the heartburn medication Zantac. Throughout his career, Livas has successfully litigated cases against major corporations, healthcare facilities, and insurance companies, securing over $100 million for his clients.
Prior to joining Keller Postman, Livas was an attorney at Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago, where he represented individuals harmed in medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death cases.
Livas earned his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was a Dean's List student and a four-time CALI award recipient for the highest grade in the class in Forensic Evidence, Bankruptcy, Mediation, and Sports Law. While in law school, he served as a judicial extern in the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County for the Honorable Clare E. McWilliams.
Livas earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was a member of the National Honor Society for Communication Scholars.
