Alex Eynon litigates complex matters in state and federal courts, representing plaintiffs and defendants in matters involving fraud, contract disputes, financial services, judgment enforcement, and patents, among other things.  Eynon excels at delivering results under pressure.  She manages high-stakes cases by contributing to the case strategy, then organizing the people and resources needed to get over the finish line.

Eynon has played key roles in trials in state and federal court, including in a 7-day trial in a securities-fraud class action in the Southern District of New York that resulted in a jury verdict for the plaintiff class.

Eynon has briefed appeals before the Ninth and Federal Circuits and New York’s First Department in cases involving complex First Amendment, contract, and evidentiary issues.

Before joining MoloLamken, Eynon served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lee H. Rosenthal of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.  She also previously worked as a litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.

  • A class of stockholder plaintiffs in a federal jury trial regarding securities fraud arising from failure to disclose beneficial ownership in and control of publicly traded oil-transloading company, obtaining a jury verdict for plaintiffs (Jon D. Gruber v. Ryan R. Gilbertson et al., No. 16-cv-09727 (S.D.N.Y.))
  • Certificateholder of RMBS trusts in trust instruction proceeding, obtaining reversal of a $440 million ruling over the allocation of deferred principal payments across 36 RMBS trusts (In the matter of Wells Fargo Bank, Nation Association, Nos. 2023-05665, 2023-06440 (N.Y. First Department))
  • Multinational beverage producer in a case involving fraud claims.  (Sire Spirits, LLC et al v. Beam Suntory, Inc., et al., No. 650799/2023 (N.Y. Commercial Division)
  • Online directory before the Ninth Circuit in case involving First Amendment and California anti-SLAPP protections for directories of professional and business information
  • Trust beneficiary alleging mismanagement of a substantial private trust in an 8-day bench trial in New York Surrogate’s Court

  • Lawmakers as merits-stage amici curiae supporting Mexico in a case involving allegations that members of the U.S. gun industry proximately caused injuries to the Mexican government by aiding and abetting gun trafficking. (Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. Estados Unidos Mexicanos, No. 23-1141 (U.S.))
  • Incarcerated father, obtaining a sentence reduction based on amendments to the United States Sentencing Guidelines that resulted in his immediate release
