Partner in the Tax Department, Reuven Garrett regularly advises clients on a broad range of tax matters, including private and public mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, financing arrangements and capital markets transactions. His practice also includes advising on the formation and operation of credit, infrastructure and hedge funds and their investments, sponsor upper-tier arrangements, and advising on asset manager M&A transactions. Garrett has advised clients on an array of complex cross-border transactions, spin-offs, tax-free reorganizations and bankruptcy and restructuring matters. - its structured equity investment in Intermodal Tank Transport
- Bain Capital in its $1.2 billion strategic joint venture with Warner Music Group to purchase legendary music catalogs across both recorded music and music publishing

- in its $775 million acquisition of Cyxtera in connection with its chapter 11 case
- and Simon Property Group in their acquisition of the operating business of J.C. Penney Company, in connection with J.C. Penney’s chapter 11 case

- Checkers Drive-In Restaurants in a recapitalization with its lenders which reduced its long-term funded debt from approximately $300 million to $75 million. Checkers also received an additional $25 million in new debt financing commitments to fund the company’s store remodeling program and other growth initiatives

- its private offering of $500 million of 2.75% Convertible Senior Notes
