Sam Welt is a partner in the Private Equity M&A Group. Welt focuses his practice on advising private equity and strategic clients on a variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments, restructurings, general corporate transactions and equity and debt financings.

Welt’s private equity clients include Berkshire Partners, General Atlantic, Golden Gate Capital, Kohlberg & Co., Palladium Equity Partners, Roark Capital Group and Revelar Capital (f/k/a Wellspring Capital Management), as well as their portfolio companies.

    • its acquisition of a 50% stake in United States Infrastructure Corporation (USIC) from Partners Group at an enterprise value of $4.1 billion
    • its sale of Kellermeyer Bergensons Services to an affiliate of GI Partners
  • General Atlantic in:
    • its Series B financing round in Seaport Therapeutics as lead investor
    • a consortium of General Atlantic and Silver Lake in their acquisition of A Place for Mom, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus
  • Palladium Equity Partners in:
    • its acquisition of Fiven ASA from OpenGate Capital, alongside Kymera International, a portfolio company of Palladium Equity Partners
    • its investment in CircusTrix Holdings, a portfolio company of Palladium Equity Partners, and in CircusTrix Holdings’ acquisitions of Rockin’ Jump Holdings, Sky Zone and Sky Zone Franchise Group
  • Berkshire Partners in:
    • the acquisition of ATA Group by Harvey Performance Company, a portfolio company of Berkshire Partners
    • its acquisition of FoodChain ID from Paine Schwartz Partners and subsequent add-on acquisitions
  • Revelar Capital (f/k/a Wellspring Capital Management) in:
    • the merger of its portfolio company, Prolamina Corporation, with Ampac Holdings
