A partner in the Finance Group and Co-Head of European Sponsor Finance and Alternative Credit, Stefan Arnold-Soulby represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in all types of complex financings, including leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, recapitalizations, infrastructure financings and restructurings. Arnold-Soulby has significant experience advising on cross-border and multijurisdictional buyouts, with a particular focus on public to private transactions. He is also an advisor in the hybrid capital space and regularly advises clients on strategic solutions throughout the capital structure with a focus on complex structured and hybrid equity investments. Arnold-Soulby’s key private capital clients include Warburg Pincus, Investindustrial, Searchlight Capital Partners, the EP Group, Pollen Street and Radius Global Infrastructure, among many others.

  • Investindustrial in the financing aspects of numerous transactions, including:
    • on the financing aspects of its all-cash acquisition of TreeHouse Foods, a leading North American snacking and beverage manufacturer, valued at $2.9 billion
    • in relation to its portfolio company Nexture S.p.A., the issuance of €500 million of senior secured floating rate notes due 2032 and the upsize of its existing revolving credit facility
    • its acquisition of Lifebrain, a leader in the routine and specialty laboratory testing business
    • its acquisition of Natra, S.A., a Spain-based producer and distributor of chocolate products
    • on the €225 million refinancing of its portfolio company Eataly, an Italy-based gourmet market, consisting of a €50 million term loan, a $110 million term loan and an €85 million revolving credit facility
