Ben Thomas is a partner in the Dallas office of Reid Collins & Tsai LLP. He represents plaintiffs in high-stakes commercial litigation in federal and state courts across the country, with a focus on corporate and financial litigation in cases involving breaches of fiduciary duty, insolvency, financial fraud, and professional liability.
Thomas has pursued several, successful appeals in the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit. He also advises religious institutions on best practices, risk management, and issues of religious freedom and expression. Thomas is known for crafting creative legal strategies and identifying early leverage points that position clients for success—both in court and at the negotiating table.

Before joining Reid Collins, Thomas practiced in the Dallas office of Sidley Austin LLP. He previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edith Brown Clement of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Honorable Sidney A. Fitzwater of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Thomas earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was Online Managing Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and participated in the Supreme Court Clinic, briefing multiple cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. He holds a B.A., summa cum laude, from Baylor University and an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary.
