Known for his creativity in navigating complex, multijurisdictional disputes across a wide range of industries, claims and forums, Regan is a first-call trial lawyer for clients in landmark high-stakes litigation cases. Recent engagements and representations illustrate the variety of his practice, which always rests on a common foundation of trial readiness and resolve for his clients. These matters include, among others, advising several ZF entities in federal multidistrict class action litigation concerning vehicle airbag control units — cases that arose following U.S. regulatory investigations and automotive recalls. Prior to joining Skadden, Regan defended BP following the Deepwater Horizon accident and oil spill, serving as BP’s trial counsel in three separate civil trials conducted as part of one of the most complex and high-profile multidistrict litigations in U.S. history. He also secured a complete defense jury verdict for a national student financial aid provider in a Federal False Claims Act trial seeking $350 million in alleged damages.

Regan has been repeatedly recognized for his work in Energy Litigation and in Product Liability, Mass Tort and Class Action: Automotive/Transport.
