Kofke received a B.A., magna cum laude, from Columbia University in 2000 and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She completed a J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2006 and was a member of the Order of the Coif. At Stanford, Kofke was an articles editor for the Stanford Law Review, the associate managing editor for Features of the Stanford Law & Policy Review, and a member of the Supreme Court Litigation Clinic. She grew up near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
