The Lawdragon selection process has been created by a team of professionals who collectively have spent more than 100 years researching and reporting on the world’s legal professionals.
The foundation of our selection is in journalism. We research each guide extensively, studying which professionals have had significant impact, including an emphasis on recent matters handled. We encourage submissions – though they are not required – and will review them alongside candidates we identify and consider for The Lawdragon 100 Leading Lawyers in the Middle East.
For The Lawdragon 100 Leading Lawyers in the Middle East, we are seeking lawyers who principally practice in the Middle East or whose practice is significantly focused there. We find it typically takes a lawyer a minimum of 10 years to cultivate the level of expertise and respect we seek to recognize.
We are looking for Middle East-based lawyers who lead the office or critical practices for global firms; U.S., UK and other global lawyers whose disputes, infrastructure, finance, transactional, energy or litigation practice is focused in large part in the Middle East; and on those global lawyers who have played leading roles in major international lawsuits and other transactions originating there.
