Pittsburgh - March 13, 2012 - The global law firm Jones Day announced today that three new lawyers have joined its corporate and mergers & acquisitions practice in Pittsburgh. David Grubman, partner, and Tom Zahn, associate, arrive from the Pittsburgh office of K&L Gates, and Timothy Mann, a partner in Jones Day's Atlanta office, has relocated to Pittsburgh to lead these practices.

Mr. Mann's background combines legal practice and practical hands-on business leadership and investment experience. He has served as CEO and a board member of a NASDAQ-listed business services company as well as the interim general counsel for two multi-billion dollar revenue NYSE-listed manufacturing companies. He focuses primarily on public and private M&A and corporate governance, including executive compensation and general corporate counseling. Mr. Mann was previously a general partner in an Atlanta and Zurich based venture capital fund and was also the founder, CEO, and board member of a business services company that under his leadership completed more than 10 acquisitions and a successful IPO. His recent clients have included Georgia Gulf Corporation, Mueller Water Products, SFN Group, Marubeni Corporation, Mitsui & Co. Ltd., Oak Hill Capital Partners, MPS Group, Inc. and Recruit & Co. Mr. Mann earned his J.D. from The University of Georgia, and his B.A. in Accounting from the University of Florida.

Mr. Grubman, focuses his practice on a wide range of corporate transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, recapitalizations, venture capital investments and equity and debt securities offerings. He also regularly represents entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies in capital raising transactions, merger and acquisition transactions and general corporate counseling. Mr. Grubman represents companies in a broad range of industries, including specialty pharmacy companies, nursing home operators, health care providers, energy companies, metals companies and telecommunications providers. Mr. Grubman was a member of the Leadership Pittsburgh Class of 2011 and serves as a director of the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania and the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and a B.S. from Cornell University.

Mr. Zahn focuses his practice on a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, including private and public company mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private equity transactions, joint ventures, recapitalizations, commercial transactions and general corporate governance matters. He has represented companies in many industries, including aerospace, energy, entertainment, financial services, health care, manufacturing and technology. Mr. Zahn earned his J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law, and a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University.
