Austin, TX, September 5, 2012 - Allensworth & Porter L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Travis W. Brown has been elected Chairman of the Austin Bar Association’s Construction Law Section for the 2012-2013 term.  Mr. Brown was also appointed sub-committee Chair of the Austin Bar Association’s Breakfast with the Judiciary Committee.

The Austin Bar Association is a nonprofit professional association for attorneys, and the goal of its Construction Law Section is to work with the Austin Bar, State Bar and other organizations in the furtherance of common projects related to the legal profession, with particular emphasis on construction law.  The Section also provides professional development for the legal community and a communications and information forum for construction industry legal professionals.



Travis Brown, a partner with Allensworth & Porter, works chiefly in the areas of construction law, construction litigation, and professional liability representing owners, engineers, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Mr. Brown also represents homeowners and builders involved in residential construction defect disputes.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2005.
