Vincent A. Cino, Chairman of Jackson Lewis, says, “Puerto Rico offered the perfect opportunity for expansion.  We always try to be where our clients need us and many of our major clients have substantial operations in the region.  We are thrilled to be the first U.S. employment boutique to “plant the flag” in the Commonwealth and are optimistic about our long-term prospects.  This new office demonstrates our commitment to building a global presence and complements our involvement with the L&E Global Alliance which we helped launch several years ago. Our new office in Puerto Rico will open an important gateway to businesses operating in the Caribbean and Latin America.”

Joining the Jackson Lewis team are outstanding lawyers who have established reputations as some of the finest employment law attorneys in Puerto Rico and who have been representing multi-national corporations doing business in the region.  Sara Colón-Acevedo, who received her undergraduate and J.D. degrees from the University of Puerto Rico and a LL.M from Harvard University, will join Jackson Lewis as a Partner.  She will be joined by Juan Felipe Santos, a graduate of the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University and the University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
