IRVINE, Calif., May 20, 2013 – Carothers DiSante & Freudenberger LLP (CDF), a leading California labor and employment law firm, welcomes Amy Williams as senior counsel to bolster the firm’s class action litigation defense group at its expanding Orange County office. Williams brings nearly a decade of proven experience in wage and hour class action litigation, delivering favorable outcomes for clients across a multitude of industries.
“I am excited to join such a highly respected law firm that focuses exclusively on labor and employment law,” said Williams. “I look forward to applying my expertise at CDF and working with a team of attorneys dedicated solely to assisting employers.”
Prior to joining CDF, Williams honed her labor and employment experience at a notable California law firm working with closely held private and public companies. In addition to wage and hour class action litigation, Williams specializes in the defense of single plaintiff claims for discrimination, harassment, retaliation and related issues. She also counsels employers on preventative measures to avoid litigation, including reviews of general employment policies, and assists employers in conducting internal investigations.
“One of the many benefits of working at CDF is our focus on gender equality and maintaining an environment where women can prosper in leadership roles,” said Leigh Ann White, managing partner of CDF’s Orange County office. “Amy is a welcome addition to the CDF team and her track record and expertise will be great assets to our firm.”
Williams is a graduate of Arizona State University and received her law degree from University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. She was recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyers, Rising Star in 2012 and is a member of the employment law section of the Orange County Bar Association.
