NEW YORK, NY (June 24, 2013) – Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP, a leading law and government relations firm, is pleased to announce Judith Joan Sullivan has joined the firm as a partner and Chair of its International Practice Group.  Ms. Sullivan will continue her New York/New Jersey corporate law practice which focuses on mergers and acquisitions counseling, commercial transactions, both domestic and international in scope, board governance, shareholder rights, securities law and private equity investments.

Davidoff Hutcher & Citron’s International Practice Group represents a full range of foreign public and private companies, investment banks and other institutions, in doing business with or investing in United States markets.  The firm assists clients with general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions transactional work, financing deals, corporate governance and general business counseling, as well as securities regulations and compliance.  In addition, the firm advises domestic clients on investing and business matters abroad.

For more than twenty five years, Ms. Sullivan has represented leading multinational corporations in a wide variety of matters including venture capital transactions, corporate restructurings, international commercial disputes and the protection and maximizing of their intellectual property assets.  Ms. Sullivan’s clients occupy a range of industries that include airline, banking, manufacturing, private equity, professional services, publishing, retail, real estate, software and technology.  She has also counsels banking and financial clients on substantial lending transactions in the private offering and asset based lending areas.  Notable engagements have involved work for Emirates Airlines, Honeywell International, KPMG, Lazy Town Entertainment, New York Life, Quest Diagnostics, Baugur Group, Gartner, and TD Bank.

Ms. Sullivan is admitted to practice law in the states of New York, New Jersey, Florida, the District of Columbia and before numerous federal courts.  She obtained her B.A. with high honors from Rutgers University in 1984, and her J.D. with highest honors, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1987, where she was Associate Editor of The Seton Hall Legislative Bureau and Journal. She clerked for the Honorable Robert E. Tarleton of the General Equity Chancery Division of the New Jersey Superior Court.  Ms. Sullivan has also served as an Adjunct Professor, Commercial Law and Remedies courses, at Seton Hall Law School.

Ms. Sullivan is highly recognized by a number of leading legal and business entities and has received numerous accolades including: being selected as the 2013 recipient of the Woman of Achievement Award by Legal Momentum, formerly known as “NOW” and a current “Leading Woman Entrepreneur and Business Owner” Finalist by New Jersey Monthly Magazine.  She has also been selected as: New York Metropolitan Super Lawyer 2012, 2012 Women Leaders in the Law, New York Magazine, Top Rated Lawyer, American Lawyer Media, Business Litigation 2012 and Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent Rated 5.0, Highest Peer Review.  Ms. Sullivan has authored numerous articles and is a frequent speaker on a variety of legal and business topics.  She was formerly a partner at Anderson Kill & Olick P.C.

Ms. Sullivan is Chair and Founder of the Ramapough Conservancy, Inc., a New Jersey Non-Profit Corporation dedicated to protecting and preserving the natural state of the Ramapo Mountains, its flora, fauna, water, and its anthropological, cultural and historically significant features.   Through her hard work and dedication she has secured several significant grants in 2012 including the New Jersey Highlands Coalition Grant Award, State of New Jersey Preservation Grant Award and Fred J. Brotherton Foundation Grant.  She is also expected recipient of the Bergen County Historic Preservation Trust Grant which will be awarded later in 2013.  The Ramapough Conservancy also assists community organizations with respect to any needs they may have concerning the mountains – notable community groups include significant work with the Ramapough Lenape Nation of northern New Jersey.
